This stopped a lot of flies from getting to the food in my kitchen. Sadly it attracted a few ladybirds too. Wasps were only stunned so I plan to get the stronger one this year! The unexpected thing for me was the burning insect smell......not pleasant and spread everywhere. It was worth it not to have the flies though.

I have found the Vermatik Rapidzap performs quite well, better in the evenings,i found that leaving it on through the night with the doors to other rooms open so the light from the Rapidzap could be seen worked best,in the morning the tray always had a good tally of flies to empty, I am very pleased with the how it works and am considering buying another one.

I have been eagerly awaiting this product, as the flies in my kitchen are the annoying type (landing on ones face and doing low level acrobatics etc.). I was a bit worried about the effect this would have on my Karma, but had reached the end of my tether. I was a bit disappointed at first, because i had expected that I would turn it on, and the flies would suddenly swarm into the waiting electric death machine. For an hour nothing happened, so I went out to work a bit disappointed.
When I came home a few hours later there were 20 dead in the tray. Fantastic! One was still moving so I fed that to a spider. This device is a powerful beast. It hums as though its consuming enough power to run a small city.
This morning, I lost one of my best customers.. so Karma was invoked, but has now rebalanced. I think it was slightly offset by me doing a massive favour to the spider.
I have turned it off now. Job Done.

disappointed
