The return of the Twisted Disco series by the hand of the new label owner MoS, comes with a new refreshing sound this year.
This album submerges you into a brand new vision of the twisted concept, heading it to the electro-house music sound side(something new for kandi's style). Even though past editions' tracks used acid synths putting one foot in this genre, the sound reflected in most of this album's tracks take this concept to a new higher level. Great examples of this compillation's quality are Mylo's "Muscle Car", Tiga's "You gonna want me", Wonderland Avenue's magnificent re-make of Laidback's electro funk "Ride The White Horse", Noir's "All About the House Music" and, my favorite one, "Same Man" by Till West & DJ Delicious, among others. Definitely, an obligatory purchase for a Twisted Disco Lover.

.....with Mr Doyle's departure from Hed Kandi, I was expecting a slip in standards. As a huge fan of Hed Kandi (Twisted and Heaven both) I was not disappointed by this outing. BUT you can tell Mr D's hand was not in this one - it's a touch too commercial for my taste and some of the tracks have been around for a while, hence it dropped a star in my view. But some cracking tunes all the same and one for the summer bar-b-Qs. I hope that Hed Kandi in later efforts keeps well away from the more commercial scene and keeps it cool - there are enough dance compilations out there for those who like Top of the Pops and the Sugar Babes!!!!

This is a fantastic electro house album, brought to us by Mark Doyle (the former HEDKANDI genius). This is one of my personal favourites from the HED Kandi selection; funky, original and uplifting!

This is more clean house than dirty!
very poor effort from the twisted disco series. I like my house filthy dirty as possible and this certainly is not, i cant believe how good people have rated it. Read more
