I ordered this book to use mainly as inspiraion and reference in my own artwork. It's a brilliant book with various patterns and designs by Morris printed on a page each so you can see all of the details in his designs clearly. It's been printed excellently and the colour quality is perfect. The book is printed on great quality glossy paper as well, so it will last a long time.
I'd definitely recommend the book to anyone who wants to use it as a reference, or to simply admire his work and designs. I'm currently ordering more of these books from the V&S collection now!

Love the wallpapers. Can't have them all in my house so great to look at. Useful to help chose as well. DVD included in the book. Lovely sized book. Great if you love Arts and Crafts.

This is a lovely little book. Seriously, it's design is sleek and the black band you see across the front is just a bit of paper that comes off easily to reveal a hardcover of one of Morris' wallpaper designs. There is even a ribbon bookmark built in! There is little fuss, it gets into pattern after beautiful pattern in full page spreads with a small space for information on each piece. I expected something awkward and ugly to house the CD, but its built in in the back in a subtle and attractive way. The CD has high res copies of each image, so it's actually a very good resource for visual artists.

This small book has gorgeous pictures of some William Morris patterns, but the book's size makes the individual flowers, etc. very small. The photos are beautiful. The accompanying CD promises to enable us to manipulate the images and print them, so I am looking forward to enlarging and printing them onto fabric. A nice resource, but if you want to do more than just look, it will take a little computer work -- looks like it will be worth it.
