This is a colourful A-Z of typical positive character traits of a young person with Asperger Syndrome or High-Functioning Autisim. It is written using clever alliteration and large simple illustrations. Reading it made me smile, cry and recall what an utterly unique child my daughter is. She read it and commented several times "That's like me!" For C - it reads "I am a Colossal Collector", foe E "I have Enormous Enthusiasm". A great book for any family fortunate enough to have a young person with an ASD.

Lovely book 30 July 2008
Format:Paperback
I have a son who is autistic and I'm also a special needs teacher and I LOVE this book. It is always great to find somebody else out there who sees autistic young people as people with amazing strengths! My thanks for this wonderful book.

An excellent book... but NOT for the High Functioning end of ASD or Aspergers.... my son is 8 and I thought it might boost him with his strengths, not so, he hated it as it was "babyish". Ideal more for the younger child and a little less able. Though, saying that, my younger son is Severly Autistic, its far beyond his understanding!! No win situation for me!! :-(

Excellent book
An excellent positive approach for parents to use with their asperger child. It is easy to read, amusing and very appropriate. I'd give it ten out of ten.

Excellent ...
What a wonderful way to help a child with AS to accept that it's not wrong to be 'different' ... it helps to show them how to explain when others don't understand why they are... Read more
