Product Description

Product Description

The User's Guide to Plone 4 helps new and experienced Plone users to become more productive. This book takes an in-depth look at the basic steps for creating and publishing content; it also provides reference material about content types, workflows, user security and strategies for organizing a site. This edition for Plone 4 includes new material on topics such as: using the TinyMCE editor, using Plone for wikis and making content easy to find. Unlike other Plone books, this volume focuses on how to use "out of the box" features preinstalled with any default Plone 4 installation. It is written especially for those who use Plone on a daily basis to write and approve content. A User's Guide to Plone 4 addresses questions like: What is the best way to paste content with the new TinyMCE editor? How do you give another user the right to edit your content item? How do you enable comments? What are collections and how do you make one? What are workflows and how are they used? How do you use "working copies" to edit already published items? How do you choose the appropriate display for a folder? How can you use portlets to enhance site navigation? This book was written with the support of Enfold Systems and is based, with permission, on previous editions of the user guide by gocept gmbh & co. kg.
