Product Description

Amazon.co.uk Review

Part one of Guns N' Roses' ambitious second album is arguably the better of the two. It certainly rocks harder, though this seems to be more coincidence than anything else; which songs went on which CD looks to have been a random selection. Use Your Illusion I stays closer to the band's bluesy hard-rock roots, with guitarist Izzy Stradlin contributing some of the best songs, including "Dust N' Bones" and "You Ain't the First". "November Rain" (clocking in at over nine minutes) became an instant classic, and there are a fair number of straight-ahead rockers, such as "Perfect Crime", "Don't Damn Me", and "Garden of Eden". Taking the best from this album and Use Your Illusion II would have made a killer single CD, but there's enough good stuff here to make it worthwhile. --Genevieve Williams

Bought Appetite for Destruction and looking for a follow up purchase buy this album. GNR has changed from the pure hard rock to a more (but still brilliant) tame...mature style. Songs now include piano...classical instruments and bakcing, singers but dont be put off by the more complicated cast this is still a hard rockin' masterpiece.

I normally buy music DVDs only in very special circumstances (i.e. when they are cheap) and I had even more doubts about this as there were 2 DVDs! However, once it was at home in my player I forgot all my doubts. With a truly excellent set list (albeit missing the essential Sweet Child 0' mine) this is an amazing experinece. How I hope GnR will one day reunite so I can see them live. This is a brilliant showcase of their talents and despite missing some crucial songs (as they are on the other DVD) is a worthy addition to any collection.

Guns N Roses 28 Oct 2003
Format:DVD
I have only got these concerts on video at the moment but will certainly be getting the DVD's asap... The concert is energetic, full of Axl Rose stunts, Slash's stunning guitar solo's. This band will always be a fashionable band and will never be forgotten.. Who can forget tracks like "Sweet child O mine", "Paradise city" and many more...
