My 9 year old daughter loves this puzzle book. Her eldest sister sometimes helps her with it too (even though she is practically a teenager). There are stories to read, puzzles to solve and codes to break. I recommend this book to anyone who likes a challenge.

Not only is this book a nice set of varied puzzles, it is also well paced in that every spread contains some story, some clues (in the form of pictures) and a puzzle question. If the reader can't spot the answer they can still move on with the story, or try the tips provided at the end or just read the answer. The book consists of several stories (including pirates, time travel and various msterious houses) and is good for occupying time on a journey when the reader may be interrupted. My daughter is ten years old, and I am also surprised at how she can return to this book several times and get enjoyment out of trying puzzles that she previously found difficult.

This bbok was purchased for our 7 (turning 8) yrs old daugher, to keep her occupied on the long holiday drive.
The book has puzzles ina story format so absorbs the reader and is relatively involving. especially good if your kids like reading. would highly recommend

Usborne Big Book of Puzzle Adventures
Ordered it for an 8 year old, but very tempted to get one for myself as well! This should keep any child entertained for some time. Great book!
