More About the Author

'King Adz writes with sophistication and a grand sparse eloquence. You just always know his writings were once 8 times longer and then he cuts and sculpts them back. He creates the time for you to enjoy and understand the reading, without loosing any of the style.' Tony Kaye (AMERICAN HISTORY X, DETACHMENT)

'I have always been an outcast. If I scroll back the jog-wheel of time as far as my memory will go - which, I've often been told, is pretty good - I have always been on the outside looking into a world where I don't quite fit in. Not sure really why I felt like this, but it was a-true, as Dennis Brown would dub. You see - there I go throwing in some obscure reference just to let you know that I'm not your average white middle-class writer, and in this case it's something to do with roots rock reggae. Oh boy, here we go again...' King ADZ

Good for price, of course this is just a blank sketchbook.
It may sound obvious, but when bought in conjunction with other artists' sketchbook compilations or the King Adz cook-book, one might assume it was a little more than bound blank pages with a funky cover.
All good tho, I needed one of these anyway!!!

I love this sketchbook, honestly, the best for my kind of style too where I like lots of pencil line, colours, markers, pens. It's great for all of those. Alcohol markers (eg. Sharpies, Promarkers, Alpha, Copics) bleeds a little bit through the pages but that's easily fixable. Just have a piece of paper under the page you're working on. Usually you'd a need specialised paper to prevent marker bleed but this sketchbook does a pretty good job on its own. The strokes never get blurred at the edges and remain sharp which is awesome. The paper easily picks up pencil as well and rubs out without marking the page. The only media that it isn't too good with though is water colour which I learned the hard way but you know, messy is beautiful. ;)

The book is of really good quality paper and allows you to rub out pencil sketches prior to final drawings
