The aim is to gain as many points as possible by guessing your friends' answers to the questions on the cards. The more you know about your friends, the better your chances of winning--and the nature of the questions guarantees you'll learn something new about your closest friends. The questions you have to answer range from the painless "What's your favourite item of clothing" or "What's your favourite chocolate bar" to the slightly more probing and embarrassing, such as "Who is the last boy you kissed?" and "Have you ever pinched a friend's boyfriend?"
The game is easy to play--the question cards are placed face down on the board and the question to be answered is decided on the role of the 12-sided die. The person to answer is decided on the roll of the other die--"you" means the thrower answers and the other players guess what their answer is; "friend"--another player is nominated to answer and you guess the answer and "all"--all the other players answer the questions and you have to guess their answers. If you guess correctly, you win the points; if you guess incorrectly, your opponents get the points. The winner is the person with the most points after the designated number of rounds. Suitable for players aged 11 and over. --Philippa Reece

I bought this for my 12-year-old niece who is a big Jacqueline Wilson fan, and it was definitely a hit. Based on the age-old practice of girlie gossip, it will allow young girls to have a good old get together and talk about all their favourite topics--chocolate, clothes, make up and boys, to mention a few. A lovely birthday or Christmas gift for that most difficult of ages to buy for.
