I...think I should let perspective buyers know that this book is excellent, I'm concidering taking an A+ exam in building and repairing PC's and was reccomended this book by a friend and it is one of the most comprehensive computer books I own, unfortunatly it doesn't address any *nix issues to any great degree, but for what it is it is informative, usefull and a must have for any hobbyist, technician or wanna/gonna be student (like myself)
I'd also reccommend this book to anyone who can't afford or wants a compact edition of "Upgrading and Repairing PC's 13th edition"
