Excellent resource 20 Feb 2009
Format:Paperback
This book is an excellent resource for the computer engineer, enthusiast or anyone interested about the history, workings and repair of the different versions of Windows.

This book is bang up to date (covers Vista Service Pack 1) and perhaps most importantly covers Windows security.

This is a big book and very comprehensive and is written in plain English!

Always upgrading.... 15 Nov 2005
Format:Paperback
Scott Mueller has done it again - brilliant, thorough and well presented publication delivering to the reader an overview or in-depth study of the why, where, when, how and what of computers. Sure there are other books offering varing levels of insight, this does the lot in a way easily digestible without having to undertake a Phd in computer science. I bought the 8th edition way back in 1997 (a lifetime ago in computer terms!) this 16th edition is vastly improved indeed offering actual video footage of key computing issues including a fabulously useful video tutorial on scratch building a computer system. This is industry standard stuff for the pro - and great for the enthusiast.
