I bought this book for my three year old sister after our nan passed away. It has lovely illustrations and she really liked the story. It's a good way to help young children deal with death and I think it put her mind at ease somewhat. I'd recommend this book.

I am a primary school teacher and i brought this for my reception class, aged 4-5. Its a lovely book and the children really enjoy it. I well up every time i read it thinking of the dogs i had as a child who passed away. Perfect for any child who has lost their beloved pet.

My son previously borrowed this book from the library as recommended to help him come to terms with the death of his great-grandad, he really enjoyed the book and found great comfort and understanding from it but was saddened when it had to be returned so therefore, we purchased him a copy to keep and read whenever he chooses. I think it's perfectly written for children and even though it's based around the loss of a pet dog it's concept can be applied to any loss.

This is a beautifully written and illustrated book, which may help to comfort and explain to a child what happens when a pet (or a person) dies and they miss them very much.
