this album starts as it means to go on. With the classic partridge song 'i'll meet you halway' and then followed by 10 more great songs. another track 'doesn't somebody want to be wanted' is one of the best song on it. the song is irrisistable catching and you can't help but hum the tune once the song is over and done with. another good song 'lay it on the line' which was co-written by the lead singer of the partridges, David Cassidy, this song hold excellent guitar sounds and crys rock'n'roll. all round EXCELLENT

Up To Date is one of the earlier albums I believe from 1970.Its starts with the very catchy Ill Meet You Halfway. The theme of this song seems to be ( at least to me) about a boy noticing a girl and trying to find some way of getting her to notice him .My favourite track is She Rather Have The Rain which is quite an upbeat number, then there is the powerful Tony Romeo ballad You Are Always On My Mind and in contrast there is the gentler track Morning Rider On The Road which sounds very laid back. The strings and horns are arranged by Mike Melvoin who also plays keyboard. Hal Blaine is on drums Joe Osborne is on bass with louie Shelton on guitar.
