Up All Night is the second song to be released from Take That's The Circus album and it's another good 'un with Mark Owen on lead vocals. It's upbeat, funky and is guaranteed to give you a smile when you're listening to it. Mark's vocals work well with the tune and tempo of the song - the song is not a ballad, where Gary is strongest, but is in fact quite similar to previous release Shine and album track Hello in pace, both of which are also sung by Mark Owen. There's some great, cheeky lyrics in there too.
But already owning The Circus album meant it was the B-side that I bought this single for.
84 sees Jason Orange take lead vocals once again. The song is very fast paced and original, highlighting memorable events of the year 1984. The song is incredibly likable and very positive... the lyrics are clever, in fact, there's a brief mention of current happenings as the song nears its end. "24 years later and we're in the hands of Labour and we've got 10,000 troops out in Iraq." Very well done boys.
A respectable collectable for every Thatter out there.
