Great item, everything I need to grow fresh herbs. Also great as an eco gift, I'm on my third one with no problems. I've had both this and the ceramic herb kit and prefer this one as the wood trough is nicer and on one side of the box the herbs are labelled so I dont forget what I'm picking! The box is also lined with plastic to prevent water dripping through the box. The only thing I would say is that some more compost would be good.

I ordered 2 kitchen herb gardens as Mothers Day gifts, I would have awarded 5 stars but one of them had 2 of the pots missing so my mum had to use yoghurt pots as an alternative. The box isnt as big as it looks in the picture, but still is attractive to have on your window sill. The seeds start to sprout only days after planting. A good all round product that makes an ideal gift but is useful as well, makes a nice change to flowers.

If you have a lack of space then the size of the woodern trough is brilliant. It sits well on a window ledge etc.
The trough itself is of good build and finishing. Only negative thing is that you get plastic holders for the herbs, it would be better if the trough had separate compartments.
Little bit over-priced but it's quirky and I haven't found anything similar.
