Back in late 1990, the four-piece rock outfit ‘Channel Zero’ were formed for the first time in Brussels. Taking inspiration for the band name from the ‘Public Enemy’ song “She Watch Channel Zero,” the group's early work resulted in a record deal with the German label, Shark Records. Their subsequent self-titled debut album was later released in early 1992, forming a solid and ever-growing fanbase for the band. The next year saw the release of the band’s follow-up album, ‘Stigmatized’. The album unleashed a massive explosion of live shows for the group including slots with Biohazard, Obituary, Napalm Death, Life Of Agony, Pro-pain, along with support slots with both Exhorder and M.O.D. in Europe. Next came the sharper and more focused sounding album ‘Unsafe’ in 1994. The album included the presence of Billy Milano of M.O.D. fame on the track “Bad To The Bone” and Richard 23 from Front 242 within other tracks. The album also included a reworded version of the track “Run W.T.T.” which was an early Channel Zero classic. Armed with their new album, the band took to even more live shows alongside the likes of Megadeth, Danzig, Spudmonsters and Biohazard along with many European festivals.

The album is a heart-thumping monster of a metal album with vocalist Franky delivering a range of powerful vocals that complement the explosiveness of the rest of the band. Guitarist Xavier Carion manages to lay down some thick and chunky guitar lines and riffs that form a stunning metal basis to the tracks.

The album starts with the classic track “Suck My Energy” that fires out a barrage of meaty guitar and aggressive vocals throughout the 5mins 25secs that the track lasts. The album follows on with tracks of a similar calibre that are all well-constructed and played in a tight and proficient manner.

The overall recording and production is top notch, having been produced by Andre Gielen and mixed in New York’s River Sound Studio by Michael Barbiero (Metallica, Soundgarden, L7, Guns ‘N’ Roses).

ok ok i know what you're thinking but take a deep breath before you read this because this record is actually rockin'. Think Pantera with a better singer . Listen to songs as Suck my energy, Heroin, Why and the mighty Lonely .
This album is a must have , buy it and check your account to see if you can afford the other CD's.

These guys should have been touring the world -
too bad they split .
