This book was originally published over 40 years ago and was truly groundbreaking then. It is still as relevant today in terms of car design and the need to design in safety. It is amazing how much the automobile industry fought the introduction of many of the safety and pollution control technologies that we now take for granted in our modern cars.

Definitely worth a read.
