4.0 out of 5 stars Enlightening 7 Feb 2012
By Liztrix
Format:Paperback
This book is more a collection of mini essays that compare the world of the hunger games with the world we live in today. If you are looking for some light hearted trivia about the hunger games this is not the book for you. It opens your eyes to messages that are carried in the book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not just the Hunger Games 4 Feb 2013
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
Lots of insights into the dystopian novel generally plus some interesting historical information make it more than just a companion to the Hunger Games.I now have to re-read the Hunger Games themselves!

2.0 out of 5 stars Just too much. 6 Aug 2012
By Corinne
Format:Kindle Edition
This had the potential to be good, however it became too difficult and more importantly boring to read after a couple of hundred pages. Points seemed to be long and over done without actually teaching anything.
Written by the same person who wrote the twilight version, if I'd known that when I bought it I wouldnt have wasted my money as that too didn't seem to talk about Twilight but about completely un related things.
Maybe it's just me but personally I wouldn't bother. Especially considering the targret audience.
