Synopsis

John Paul Jackson warns against the toleration of the 'Jezebel spirit' in our churches today. He uses the biblical account of the life of Elijah, Ahab and Jezebel to show how we can deal with manipulative people in our churches. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

I had heard the term Jezebel spoken about in church but I never fully understood exactly what it was all about.

John Paul Jackson uses testimonies from those who formerly were under the influence to those who's lives had been affected by others with the Jezebel spirit along with the Biblical scriptures that speak about it.

After reading this which is not too heavy and yet informative, everybody will know how the Jezebel spirit operates, how to discern and deal with it.

Bit hard to understand so probably was just a bit deep for me but that won't be the case for all people

Many Long Term Questions Answered

Why do some successful churches "burn up" and disappear? Why often do factions arise and big splits occur in churches? These are just some of the questions that seem to find an answer in this book. Jezebel, in the Bible, was an evil, manipulative, demonically inspired character, and the spirit behind her still finds expression today. Not , of course, only confined to women, the phenomenon is sometimes called the Absolom spirit.

There are, of course, other seducing forces, but Jezebel is a biggie in today's world.

This book needs to be read several times to digest all the information - a pen and notebook was useful so that I could focus on each insight properly and then go through my notes to reinforce each point. I would recommend it to every believer - in fact, I would recommend it to non-believers also - those who are not already set against Christianity and are open to consider "truth" as something other than what's accepted by mainstream philosophy and psychology. A potent book with much-needed spiritual insight and guidance.

Useful stuff in life, it may open up the secret places where the enemy has been working. At least it did it for me. Good luck.
