THE 2011 BEST-SELLER

“Takes you on a journey into the darkest recesses of the human mind.”

“Brilliant, fast paced...a book that gets you hooked from the first page.”

Usually a serial killer will have a modus operandi that can lead to their capture. This one is breaking all the rules.

It takes a journalist's keen eye to grasp the terrifying truth. This killer is recreating infamous murders from history. Despite researching historical murders in an attempt to catch the killer in the act, the police are repeatedly outwitted. With the Jack the Ripper murders next on the agenda, a bloodbath seems inevitable.

With the clock ticking and the killer becoming increasingly frenzied, a detective and criminal psychologist join forces to stop this unlikely killer.

From the Publisher

A taut and edgy thriller that will keep you guessing till the end.

Brilliant! 10 Mar 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
This has to be one of the best books I've read in a long time - one of those you don't forget easily, and can't put down until you finish. The plot draws you in and then takes you on a ride which is both thrilling and gruesome at the same time. You are privy to both the mind of the killer and the main policeman's, but the identity of the killer is never telegraphed in advance. The end was so shocking and surprising, I had to go back a few pages and read them again, to make sure I hadn't made a mistake. Along the way there are small side stories going on including the state of the policeman's marriage and family life, the way this case impacts on it - all of which knit together brilliantly, but do not detract from the main story, which is the manhunt for this dreadful killer. I'd never heard of this writer before, but I shall be looking for them again, after reading this un-put-downable book. Don't think about it - buy it - you won't regret it.

Unlkely Killer 5 Nov 2010
By zannah
Format:Paperback
The title of this book says it all.
Both emotional and cunning, when it comes to constructing a harrowing plot. Ricki juggles twist after twist with genuine glee. She will take you on a journey into the the darkest recesses of the human mind. Intriguing, I was totally surprised by the identity of the killer. The reader is... kept guessing almost to the very end of the book.
Ricki writes to be understood and appreciated by her audiance, and to educate of the fragility of the human mind - she succeeds!
