This is the first book I've read from this author. An awesome story with a rollercoaster of emotions thats just grabs you and never let go. I couldn't put it down till I was done. And then too I didn't want it to end.

Journalist Sophie Alton investigates the disappearance of a young woman and is led to the woman's brother, Hunter, a convicted killer who is running from the law.
Hunter, is Hunt, is the boy she fell in love with at the age of 16. Only to meet him 12 years later when he takes her as hostage and escapes prison, where he lived a nightmarish life. Now he desperately needed to find his missing sister before she is killed. Together, they follow a dangerous path toward the truth-and unforgettable passion.
Loved the twist at the end, never expected that.

Loved Marc Hunter, he is all that a man should be, and Sophie was the perfect complement to him. She is exactly what Hunt needed, even if he mistakenly thought she was too good for him.
The story is emotionally moving, very powerful and the love scenes is scorching.

After reading this great book, I immediately ordered 'Extreme Exposure' and 'Hard Evidence' and now have the last one 'Naked Edge' on auto-buy.
Pamela Clare is a superb writer.
Well done!

I have all of Pamela Clare's books including the historical romances, and this one is my favourite. I've lost count of the number of times I've read it - it has everything - humour, suspense, danger and of course the sexy scenes between Sophie and that hunk Marc. If only some of the men in these books really existed, the world would seem a much better place! Keep going Ms Clare, your books are brilliant (Zach in the latest book Breaking Point is also pretty hot!).

I've had Unlawful Contact on my Kindle for quite a while, and hadn't got around to reading it.
It's the first book I read by Ms Clare, and oh boy... I was cursing rather a lot when I started reading. Because...I knew I'd have to put it down, and I really didn't want to.
Luckily I read fast, because Ms Clare's Unlawful Contact grabbed me by the throat, dragged me in, and didn't let go until the end.
I really enjoyed the book (can ya tell?) It was not only very well written, but the characterization was fantastic, the characters were alive on the page, everything felt very well researched and authentic -- in places rather uncomfortably authentic -- well paced, well crafted...and a riveting read.
I won't put any spoilers, but I can thoroughly recommend the book to anyone after a fast paced, sexy, read that'll leave you gasping for breath.
A very well deserved 5 stars -- and I don't hand those out lightly!

If this book someday is made into a film (I hope so!) I will be the first in line to buy it. Oh my gosh...this is one of the best romance novels i have read in a very long time and was totally blow away afterwards. While reading it I had a hard time putting it down and focusing on real life, my thoughts almost constantly circling around this story. It was a really great plot with amazing main characters and scorching intense interaction between Hunt and Sophie. Just...wow!!

Read this on my kindle within 2 days and...What can I say...what a page turner! had me gripped from beginning to end. Will definately have to read more of Pamela Clare's work after this.I am also in agreement that this would make a great film - I was totally absorbed in the story and not read a book thats had such a powerful effect on me in a while, I'm still thinking about it now, after reading Bared to You I needed something to fill the void and this didn't disappoint me at all. The powerful chemistry between Hunt and Sophie blew me away, there scenes were very passionate and tender - I was routing for them from beginning to end,it made me smile and made me cry (with happiness of course). Even I fell in love with Hunt's character - pity these guys only exist in novels and movies - ahh well we can all dream.

This is the first read for me by this author although I have heard of her books before. I recently saw a review on Goodreads of the first book in this series and it made me want to read them. The reviewer had said the hero of this book was her favourite hero so I decided to start with this one. The book was written in 2008 but it doesn't feel dated. It's a while since I read a romantic suspense book and the suspense part of the book was well written. I've read quite a few self published books with rubbish mystery/suspense plots so maybe they should read a Pamela Clare book to get a feel of what a well written suspense plot contains!

There were quite a few parts in the book where I felt things were far fetched. However, the author was herself an Investigative Journalist so I'm sure that side of things rang true but Hunt escaping from Prison, the culmination of the suspense plot and the outcome of his Trial seemed too far fetched to me. Also the fact that 12 years before Sophie and Hunt got together in one night, she gave him her virginity and he left the next day to enlist yet all this time they have both thought about each other and for the last six years when he was in Prison he thought about her all the time!

I did enjoy reading this though. I may read some of the other books but I will admit that I didn't seem to think as much of Marc/Hunt as some of the reviewers. He loved Sophie that was easy to see but I prefer a more alpha male hero.
