Product Description

Colour: Style1

When returning from a long day of work, it's hard enough mustering the energy to make a cup of refreshing tea. Imagine then having to continuously stir said cup of tea. One could possibly pass out from the strain. Luckily those clever chaps at Bluw have devised a way to avoid this exertion. Introducing the Self Stirring Mug. No prizes for guessing what this little gem does. Press the button on the handle of the Self Stirring Mug to activate the tiny motor inside the bottom. Then watch as the propeller spins the contents, keeping your beverage lip-smackingly tasty to the last drop. Spiffing.

Got this for my boyfriend and he really liked it (he stirrs his drinks and always needs a spoon... not anymore!).

As this is not dishwasher-safe, and we're a bit lazy, we left it to sit for several days after he had some hot chocolate. After washing it, it didn't work anymore but then my bf cleaned it carefully right under and very close around the stirring thing at the bottom of the cup, and it worked fine again! I think all the bad reviews are just people who didn't clean it in time and/or didn't think of trying to clean it a bit better around the stirring mechanism. We've had this for more than 2 months and it works fine.

I am however cautious with it and wash it quite carefully, so that's a bit annoying :)

Received this as a present - it was great for a week, then stopped working as coffee leaks into mechanism and seems to corrode it. Not worth the price!

Bought this for my wife as she hates the coco settling in her hot chocolate, this solves the problem perfectly!

All 5 star reviewers are jumping the gun. This product WILL fail, motor jams by 2-3 weeks as confirmed by many. Waste of money.

Bought as a gift for my brother as everyone usually buys him chocolate. He loved it as it was unusual.

Got this as a gift for Christmas, worked well for two cups of Tea...

The unit itself was "designed" to be water proof as it has rubber rings, however the unit itself secures to the battery area with two screws and a pressure sealed rubber cap at the bottom, on these mugs this isn't actually water tight, meaning if the mug is even partially submerged for a moment it lets water in. Upon taking the unit apart it is a simple 4 wire system leading from batteries to button (for the hard circuit switch) and to the motor, the ends of these wires leading to the battery are open to the elements, so a thimble of water (25 mill or less) would be enough to short the motor rendering the mug useless.

Considering the whole concept of this product is to contain liquid, being susceptible to water damage is a tad ridiculous.

[...] (Picure of the internals including the hole in the middle that was just pressure sealed by two screws against rubber (which were quite loose when I took apart which may be the reason why this broke so quickly)

Very disappointed, it lasted for about a week, used it no more than 10 times and it broke, obviously there's a design fault, after looking at reviews this problem isn't rare, should really be withdrawn until they fix the problem.
