The need to reduce cable clutter on, around and under the desk called for the change of an ageing travel mouse. I wanted something that stood out from the unescapable classic style mouse, not too large and with a good technical credential. Somehow I found the Eclipse and I was sold on purchasing it. Indeed the mouse comes very well packaged. Once out, it took no time to get it going. it's as sleek and beautifully crafted as I expected. Though I read a few reviews here and there which were often average, if not for the good points on design, I am finding no issues with the tracking, the scroll ball is just perfect to handle with a good precision and you don't have to worry about clicking inadvertently while rolling, a problem I found on the up-down scrolling wheels. The Eclipse glides perfectly, however it will be noisy on a hard surface. I definately suggest a mouse pad. You can switch it off when not in use, an option often unavailable on cordless mice. The dongle is really miniature and the mouse can travel in comfort and safety in a useful faux leather pouch, adding a sense of luxury to this product.
I love the design, the construction, its quality and it works perfectly so far. If you want something different that looks great on a desk but that's not just a gadget, well this is it, go and get it. Make sure you also check on their website for a nice product presentation.

Neat and different 5 Sep 2011
By AML
I wanted a new mouse to go with a new aluminium keyboard so a web hunt
threw up the Eclipse mobile mouse.
It is very well packed so took a while to get going.
XP found it and any drivers needed without fuss, there is a cd enclosed
but this appears to be for 360 scrolling.
The tiny dongle fits inside when not needed - logical thinking.
The mouse works very well and better than i thought for radio mouse- no difference
noticed from the old cable mouse.
Left and right click are good no harshnes and not too quiet or to loud.
It's built on a aluminium chassis and so it's heavy for a mouse but ok for me.
It is about 100m long with the rear heal up but this can be moved down so as to lift
the rear of the mouse upwards to an angle of about 15 degrees.
I do have one gripe which is the trackball - it's very small and the scrolling does
not allways work. i'm not sure if it is software controlled or mechanicall but it
does work well when it does.A heavier ball(ball bearing)may be the answer but the issue
is minor as i use the keyboard for scrolling anyway.
This mouse is realy a mobile mouse but i use it for a desk top without fuss.
If you want somthing different from the norm and don't mind paying a little more
it's worth it.

Almost -- but not quite a replacement for my Mighty Mouse. 10 Feb 2011
By S. Yu - Published on Amazon.com

I picked up this mouse with the hopes that the scroll ball would be less prone to getting clogged or stuck like my Apple Mighty Mouse. This mouse looks cool, and feels really smooth, as it really seemed to glide across my desk.
Unfortunately, the scroll ball started really sticking after only a few days, and it was very inconsistent when I needed it. I wanted a good replacement mouse for Final Cut Pro, but have since gone back to the Mighty Mouse.

Pros:
Cool design - adjustable angle is neat, but I'd expect most people to keep it elevated.
High quality feel - the mouse feels well built overall

Cons:
No OSX drivers. The mouse sensitivity was not very adjustable so I had to download a third-party mouse driver to get it right.
Scroll ball failure. After several days I'd get frustrated not being able to use the scroll ball to scroll down web pages or while video editing. The Mighty Mouse scroll ball sometimes fails, but not as badly as this mouse.
