5.0 out of 5 stars Buy if you like old Sub Focus and Pendulum 23 July 2013

A must buy for 2013, very Pendulum and old Sub Focus but that a good thing. Great beats from start to finish cannot believe this has not got more airtime.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quality beats from start to finish... 31 May 2013

I looked forward to this album for a long time after hearing ShockOne on a few Viper mixes...
This album is excellent throughout, providing plenty of variety, thrills and spills! There are killer electronic beats in many shapes and forms, there's D&B, dubstep, breaks, electro and progressive sounds. I love this album because of it's variety and excellent production! The order of the tracks reminds me a lot of Pendulum's Hold Your Colour album where it starts off with a dramatic intro and throws you straight in at the deep end and then calms you down in the last 2-3 tracks.
It'll take me a long time to get bored of this album, and I look forward to more from ShockOne in the future ;-)

5.0 out of 5 stars A real epic 30 Nov 2013
Format:MP3 Download|Verified Purchase
For anyone who enjoys Pendulum/Sub Focus. As a fan of both I'd say it surpasses both their latest efforts as an album.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic! Really good, modern DnB 10 May 2013
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
Very Pendulum-esque with hints of Sub-Focus and Mistabishi in there too. Bit of the old wub-wub dubstep too. Really enjoyed this album and if you like anything like the afore mentioned artists then definitely worth a punt!

Good work SHOCKONE.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastically Addicting 14 Mar 2014

Shockone has definitely hit the nail on the epic-dnb genre with this album. The opening track sets the mood up with a big-bang-esque explosion of sound (no pun intended). It's a perfect album for almost any occasion that requires a lot of power and strength. For example: I typically work 3rd shift at the ER. So, get home early in the morning, sleep 'til 2 pm, wake up, go and do it again. However, I was recently moved to a new location where I work the normal 8-4 shift. Now, I'm used to going to bed at the time I have to be at work. So, driving to work at 6:45 is a pretty difficult task, at least until my circadian rhythms catch up with me.

Now, I drive to work everyday, and I take the expressway, much like everyone else in the world with a 9-5. Normally, I'm used to empty streets while I'm heading home, but nowadays, my drive is much more crowded. So, I decided to throw 'Universus' on a CD and blast it as I speed down the interstate.

Let me tell you, never has the early morning felt so amazing. Watching the sun peak over the horizon as I shoot down the freeway (most likely breaking a few laws in the process) while hearing Reija Lee's voice caress the cool morning air is pure bliss. Likewise the monologue at the beginning of the set creates an amazing atmosphere, and really sets the tone for each morning I have to head to work.

10/10, would (and will) listen again.

there is not enough love for drum and bass on amazon. anyway, shockone never fails to disappoint. i thoroughly enjoyed this album, although i would have preferred a tilt more towards dnb than dubstep.
