Book Description

19 Jan 2011
James Burroughs is scared. It seems like only yesterday he was getting drunk, singing rude songs about women of questionable integrity and not giving the slightest damn about his job, his life or, heaven forbid, his future. How things have changed. Now he discusses the weather on a regular basis, crosses the road to avoid groups of two or more teenagers and has been in the same tedious job for all of his six post graduate years. His life is stagnating before his eyes...and so he decides to do something about it. Join James in his hilarious bid to salvage his youth, a journey that takes in excruciating dates, Gloucestershire based music festivals, magic mushroom parties and nights spent in police cells on the way to the sacred land of the young and the free. In the circus that is the twenty-first century, a mid-twenties crisis is just another balancing act.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy reading humorous fun 15 April 2011
Format:Paperback
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and found it very easy reading, well written and extremely funny. One can so easily relate to James the main character and laugh out load at some of the dilemmas he finds himself in. Any middle aged person will be able to relate with so many of the feelings and emotions that the characters in this book go through. I think it is a very good first novel by the Author and look forward to reading his work in years to come.
