Product Description

Manufacturer's Description

Sort it Out.™ is the new party game from Australia that's sweeping across the world. A great ice breaker for groups of new friends and a battle of wits for old friends and family. Can you sort these animals by their top speed--a bat, a zebra, a crocodile, a salmon and a golden eagle? How about sorting these inventions by when they were created--the bra, dynamite, escalators, Velcro and AstroTurf? In Sort It Out., finding out the correct order is just as much fun as getting it right.

How to Play
The winner is the first player to reach the finish spot on the board by knowing the biggest, fastest, loudest, earliest, smallest and longest of everything, or just being a lucky guesser. Place a topic card in the middle of the table, turn over the sand timer and all players answer the question at the same time by placing their five coloured tiles in the correct order on their tile holder (see example question image). When it's time to see the answer you don't just get the correct order, we back it up with some facts too (did you know George de Mestral invented Velcro in 1948?). For each answer you get in the correct place on your tile holder, you get to move one space on the board, but beware... some spaces on the board make you move backwards for each answer you get wrong too.

Great fun for family and/or friends .You probably thought you knew a lot until you played this game. A combination of a little knowledge and some logical thinking will help you win. Easy rules and fast paced.Packs up in a easy sized box that you can take with you to your friends ,family or maybe the pub! Great for Xmas and great to break the ice at any gathering.

Best sort of game for a family dinner party of mixed ages and abilities. Quick to learn and explain the rules. Simple set up. The fun begins when the novice beats the expert around the table. You find out you don't know what you thought you knew! We had a medic who said, "At last, something I know!" - and came last. A literary boff who came last on authors and a muso who got all his favourite bands' first albums in the wrong order. It might be sounding a little like Trivial Pursuit but I'm not a TP fan and I loved this game. Everyone can have a go and there is that element of sheer luck (when you have no idea of the answer and just wing it) when you come out the winner (then you bluff and become modest about your hidden knowledge:-))

Durability:    Educational:    Fun:
I think Sort it Out is a very thought provoking game, I play it with my teenage twin granddaughters, and it is quite mentally taxing, certainly not easy, you definitely need some kind of brain, but my granddaughters are taking the rest of their GCSE's in the summer and are up to speed with lots of knowledge, but lots of the questions foxed them, as they did me!
Luckily there is a wide spectrum of choices and it is fun moving round the board when you get some answers right. I am an oldie, and get beaten for speed but am surprised I know many of the answers required. We enjoy all the boxed games, my 10 year old grandson also had a go but found it too difficult and got dispirited, so saying it is for 12 upwards is about right, the twins are nearly 16.
Well boxed, good quality cards, egg timer ok and clear directions, which is definitely needed. So far have played it in it's simplest form. Would like more of these type of games manufactured, always need to use good quality cardboard and games should be advertised more, they are a welcome antidote to endless television. Also very good for different generations of families to interact together, and we definitely have a load of laughs over this, I am well used to be called brainless at times!.

Enjoyable but perhaps not the most fun game out there, good to learn some new things in an interesting way & we did find ourselves playing several times over the holidays.
