This globe should not be regarded as a toy - I bought this for my mother aged 85 as she wished to see where in the world her grandchildren were travelling as well as where family and friends were going on holiday. It has also helped her to keep up to date with world affairs so that she can see where global events are taking place! it is large enough for her to see the countries and even cities whilst compact enough for her to keep near her as she is mostly confined to her chair.

This was an excellent present and one that she relishes and has helped to make her life more interesting and travel and current affairs more relavent.

The globe has just the right amount of detail and is up to date. Although classed as a toy by Amazon, I bought this for myself as a quick reference and does not look out of place in my study. Whether you want a globe for a child to assist him/her in study, or a reasonably priced addition to a study, this will do the job well.
