Once assembled these speaker stands were fine - however the components did not entirely match what was on the diagram, which led to the stands having to be disassembled to put in a crucial part which actually stopped them from being top heavy.
They were very fiddly to put together, and feeding the speaker wire through the stem and out through the hole at the back needed a bit of ingenuity.
Have patience though - they were worth the effort and cursing in the end.

I bought these to place two speakers on from my LG surround sound system. Set up was much easier than I expected from the other available review and I had them both set up within half an hour. They are a bit fiddly and the connector (where the stand holds the speaker) is not as stable as I would like, but it's otherwise a pretty solid and attractive design. I say buy them if you don't want to waste your money on one of the other ridiculously expensive units available.

These stands come "flat-packed" and require some assembly. On the positive side, once assembled they certainly look the part. The supplied brackets and screws fitted my Sony surround speakers a treat, and the bracket cover makes the whole assembly look as if the stand and speakers were designed to fit together. The speaker height is easy to adjust and the black satin finish looks great.

A few irritations spoil the show though. Firstly the black stands came in a box labelled as having silver stands inside! Just as well I had a look inside the box before returning the product! Secondly, the assembly instructions are awful! They completely omit to mention that you have to firstly screw on a collar to the threaded bottom of the stand upright before fitting the stand base and screwing on the stand weight to complete the base assembly. Ok, this was not a major problem and I had it figured out within 10mins but it does show a lack of care by the manufacturer. It would have taken little time for them to sort this out and prevent grief to the Consumer. Finally, both my stands had some metal swarf blocking the inside of the upright, thus preventing the speaker cable running through the inside of the stand as designed. I had to improvise a way of clearing the blockage using a cannibalised metal coat hanger and a lot of patience! This is a lot more serious and I hope that my experience is isolated, though with both stands identically blocked I am not sure if this will be the case.

In summary, this should have been a fantastic budget speaker stand, but the problems with the product packaging, stand assembly issues and poor instructions means it loses 2 stars. A shame really because once you overcome the hurdles the assembled stand is a great product!

These stands are to fit my small LG satellite speakers, assembly was rather easy, didn't even need the instructions, speaker cable runs through the pole.

I have these fully extended and have knocked them a few times and the speaker has not fallen over, overall it does what it says without any problems

Ordered speaker stands Friday, arrived 11am Monday. Had them up & running within 1/2 an hour.
Threaded tube a little tight to get through base plate, don't force or damage to the thread will occur.
Easiest way to get cable through is to split stand at middle adjusting sleeve (this was very tight), feed cable through bottom half then through top half. Getting round the curves needed patience, I passed a bit of curtain wire through, taped the lead to it & pulled it through. Final assembly was easy.
Good looking stands for the cash

The looks were quite important to me so I was very doubtful at this price point but once assembled, they look great.

The stands were also very easily to assemble.

The only issue I have with them is that although they are sold as 'universal', they do not have any fittings that match my Boston Acoustic XS speakers. Be very careful with this - I am going to have to find some sort of bracket/mechanism to get these to work.

Really good speaker stand stabil but also light weight. Special hole on the pole so you can hide the cable inside. The speakers stay stabil and also looks stylish i think.

Although it promised to be universal with Sony speakers - it involved turning the whole bracket around which was quite complex and time consuming. More difficult overall than I expected
