I had been led to believe this was a feel good film. There are some excellent bits in it, the acting by all three leads is absolutely first class. But ultimately this weekend in Paris, planned to help mend an ailing marriage, starts badly, imroves litttle, and a few happy moments apart, fails to heal the deep rifts, hurts and boredom accumulated during years of marriage. The Paris we are shown is lacking in magic. The attempt at an ending offering a gleam of hope is contrived and to me unconvincing.
