United State of Love is a story about mum Anna Barnes striving to make her way in the world without any help whatsoever. She wants to be independent, she wants to concentrate on her relationship with her teenage son, but does Fate have other plans?

Enter a sexy chef called Tex who is determined to make Anna his. He's dreamy, he can cook, he's every woman's fantasy, but is he going to be Anna's? An evil ex-husband and an uber bitch are the only things standing in Anna and Tex's way. Is their relationship strong enough to make it or are these two destined to be divided?

I really enjoyed this book. Sue Fortin's writing brings the characters to life and draws you into their world. Highly recommended.

I loved this book from the very beginning, I was hooked on Anna the tour guide. Anna was a very strong woman in so many ways, but deep down she was very vulnerable. Trying to balance her life with work her son Luke, Mark her ex and the gorgeous American Tex.

The story had so many ups and downs along the way, I really liked the visits to America and finding out more about Tex's background. There were so many things I did not see coming in the story, it is so good to be kept on your toes when reading and this was certainly one of those occasions.

This is a book that will have you thinking about the characters days after you have finished reading it.

United State of Love is one of those reads that instantly sucks you into the story. Beginning on an interesting note, designed to pique a reader's interest, the basis of the story is laid out pretty quickly with characters you want to know more about.

Following Anna on an assault course of up and downs, you really feel for her and the struggles she goes through - we've all got that one person in our lives who is manipulative, but for Anna that person is her husband. Fortin weaves the story in and out of emotional minefields and allows the characters to face their inner demons before being able to see what it is they really want.

This is a great little read with well thought out characters, solid plot and interesting backstory, all the ingredients for a tasty treat.
