The chalet school in exile- very exciting, fast paced (yes, i know it's a chalet school book and you can't say much as you'r reading the page!) and a great next book about Jo and co. When the nazis gain power, everyone in the Tirol is very anxious. When the school, as many members from Germany and Austria have to leave due to the Nazi rule, form the chalet school peace league, they almost get caught and, when the gestapo come for the "perpetrators," Madge realises something has to be done. A perilous journey across Europe (and a surprise or two from Miss Wilson!!!), a German spy infiltrating the school just days after it reforms in Guernsey and the saddest loss the Chalet school has ever had to face make this my favourite of the 64!
