I got this book before heading off to Abu Dhabi to work with their schools. Having been here now for over a week the information was correct and very helpful. It doesn't have touristy information but good solid advice for working here.

This book made the US Army's required reading list

This book is packed full of information about the culture and the region. When my nephew was sent over for a tour of duty, he was required by the Army to read this book. I picked it up wanting to know what life was like for him over there and I'm glad I did. If you are going to live in the UAE, or are simply interested in the place and the people, it is a must read.

This book provides essential information in a readable style. It is comprehensive in scope, accurate and reliable, while maintaining precision and economy of expression. Valuable for the tourist as well as for anyone wanting to know about the UAE. This is a book to USE & to enjoy.
