BRILL TRILOGY 10 Mar 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
I Downloaded this book after reading 'The people traders' and 'The people trafficker' by the same author, Kieth Hoare, I loved them all, things sometimes got a bit hairy in places and sometimes a tiny bit far fetched but even so I couldn't put them down, I could imagine the whole trilogy as a film. I enjoyed reading The girl with the dragon tatoo,(along with parts 2 and 3)and have seen the film but can honestly say this trilogy wasn't as heavy. I think there is nothing worse in a book when the Author drones on and on about the settings and backgrounds and so on, these books were straight in and to the point and the fact is, what is written in these books actually does go on in the world, so well done Kieth, is Karen going to retire now ?????

After reading and enjoying 'the people traders' and 'The people traffickers' i was looking forward to reading this book. I have only just started reading today and from the word go i must say it is certainly not as gripping but i carried on regardless. I was very dissapointed when the author reffered to a character from a previous book and got his name wrong, surley an author should remember their own characters? good effort trying to keep the first letter the same but Grant and Greg aren't quite the same.

I found this book quite an entertaining read and have no doubt it's factual to some degree with regard to the abduction of individuals for the sex trade. However, I find it farcical that Keith Hoare can possibly believe a girl, having been a vistim of such an abduction, could join the army at eighteen and become a Lieutenant in the S.A.S. at twenty. He must be extremely naive with regard to the selection process to get enter this very select unit and the high precentage of failed applicants, just as he is with so many of the operations he involoves her with. I note 'Unit T special Forces' has a copyright dated 2010, but am unaware if this corresponds with its publication date which isn't shown, which gives me cause to wonder if part of the book is based on the suspected abduction of Madelaine McCann from Praia da Luz, May, 2007. Whether it is or not it cartainly raises some interesting point regarding that event.
