I bought the Uniross Universal Battery Charger to take on holiday this year. I have a new camera but no in-car charger for it. I saw this and realised that it would be more versatile and 'future-proof', all for about the price of a single OE charger.
Whilst away, I charged the battery for my Canon camera, my wife's Casio camera, my son's LG phone and PSP(PlayStayion Portable). The battery is gripped securely in the charger and the lights give you all the feedback you need, to know A) it's connected and working, B) the battery is the correct way round and C) when the charge is complete.
Mine now lives in the car (we have chargers for all the devices in the home of course). Whilst it would have been a good idea to incorporate stowage for the stylus in the charger unit, it's actually not difficult to move the contacts on the slider bar with a finger for all but the most fiddly batteries (e.g. the PSP which has tiny contacts very close together). I found that the charger unit, stylus and 12v power cable will all fit neatly in one of those little draw-string bags intended for sunglasses, so that keeps everything together.
Overall a great idea and very 'universal'.
