A great value charger with 4 x AA batteries from Uniross, the rechargeable specialists. The Xpress 150 charger can charge 2 or 4 x AA/AAA Ni-MH/Ni-CD batteries at one time and will take around 11 hours to fully charge the batteries provided. In addition it can also charge PP3/9 V Ni-MH/Ni-CD batteries. You can replace up to 1000 ordinary zinc batteries, saving you money over the life of the battery as they cost as little as ½ p per use and also make a great ecological alternative to disposable batteries, saving the waste of up to 1000 batteries. Comes with 4 x AA 1300 mAh batteries, ideal for most household devices, such as toys, remote controls, wireless mouse and keyboard, etc.

Very good, although takes a while to charge batteries around 4-5 hours! Apart from that it does what it says!
The supplied NiMH batteries are excellent and last ages especially in digital cameras, if your camera takes AA batteries get a set of these it's definatly worth the investment. (I got another make of NiMH batteries but they dont last half as long as these although they have the same spec.)
They same as a couple of sets of quality disposable batteries, so they will pay for themselves after a couple of day trips.........

True, the batteries do take a while to charge, but for just a little over a *fiver* you are getting not only four quality rechargable batteries, but a charger too.
As stated by other reviewers, you'd expect to pay this kind of money for a couple of sets of disposable batteries, so recharging the batteries once already gives you full value for the batteries, with the unit that's charging them costing effectively nothing.
The batteries are just as good as any others I've used, despite Uniross not being a name that's as well known as Sony or Fuji.
In short, this kit is a complete bargain without any real compromise or catch. Stock up now!

I use AA rechargables like a Hummer guzzles petrol, so I have one of these to use in the office: my portable CD player, plus work dictaphones. The batteries on their own would cost £5, so £1 extra for a robust charger is excellent value.
I completely flatten the batteries (1,300 Nimh's) before use and it takes about 10 hours to charge from flat. I use it overnight or you can buy a timer plug and use that to control it.
In response to a previous reviewer: Of course the charger is going to get warm, it's converting 230v down to 1.2v and the batteries heat up because of the chemical reaction in them. Best let the charger have plenty of ventilation, be careful when unplugging it and also allow the batteries to cool completely before inserting into any equipment.

Good value for money.. Quick delivery. Was worried that at the price the batteries wouldnt hold their charge for long. Wrong ! Very good

It's a battery charger and it charges batteries! It is a discreet charger and doesn't take up a lot of space on the wall. I like it.
