My digital camera was eating up batteries so decided to get big capacity batteries along with a new charger. The included batteries last seven times longer than normal alkaline batteries and unlike my old charger this one gives the green light when charge is done. It took about 4.5 hours to charge them up with the option to charge either 2 or 4 batteries.
    Definitely recommend.

This is a great charger! I bought it to use for my xbox 360 wireless controllers as they were going through a lot of batteries and these last ages. It works out a lot cheaper to buy rechargeable batteries too. Highly recommended. Great buy.

I'm very pleased with this charger. It is fast and there's a led indicating when the batteries are fully charged. Besides, we always read that we should not leave the batteries charging for more than the indicated time, and this charger automatically stops charging after it reaches the max level.

It comes with 4 high capacity (2700mAh) AAs and a car adaptor.

Quite simply, I popped the batteries into my Canon Powershot A2100 IS straight out of the wrapping and clicked away (that got boring real quick, I can tell you). The blurb says they'll do 280 shots in a camera: I got 1,052. If you're doing a lot of work with your digisnapper, these batteries should do you well beyond OK. I can't comment on the self-discharge rate, but I assume they didn't charge them just to post to me. As for the longevity, I'll find that out in due course. The charge time is a bit slow, but it's not like I need them all that quickly (I bought eight, and only need two at a time). And the car adapter will be useful on holiday later this year.

UPDATE, 22 Feb 2010: After recharging, I snapped a few things around the house and then (after a couple of weeks) remembered I was meant to be checking their performance after a recharge. No comparison, I know, but I flipped my camera over to video and left it on the mantlepiece. It completely filled the 16GB memory card and still had lots left over. I've just recharged the oiginal Ni-MH batteries that came with the camera and they ran for about three minutes, so you can see why I'm impressed with the new ones. And those originals haven't seen a lot of wear, by the way - I snapped about 60 pics with them (with several recharges) before switching to some Duracell Plusses to tide me over until I got these decent Ni-MHs.

UPDATE, 16 April 2012: Can't say that these have been exactly overused (I've just shot image number 2,581 and hardly any video) but they now hold barely any charge (charged about ten days ago, got four shots out of it) and have also started to leak. Think I'll just buy a pack of Duracells whenever I want to take pics, it'll work out cheaper than a new camera. It might be the charger that's damaging the batteries, but it's the specific Uniross charger (Uniross Smart 2-4H) that I bought specifically for the job.

I bought this charger as although it didn't come with batteries with the highest rated capacity the charger doesn't just use a fixed timer to determine the charge cycle time, but actually measures the voltage and charge of the batteries electronically and automatically drops to a maintenance 'trickle' charge once they are fully charged to maintain battery health and prevent overheating. This will prevent battery damage over time and increase the life-time of the batteries, especially if they are not always in a completely discharged state when charging commences.
I think that the 2700mAh batteries included with the charger should be more than sufficient for my needs, as they typically last around six times longer than equivalent non-rechargeable alkaline batteries.
The charger comes with both a mains adaptor for indoor use and a cable for connection to a car lighter socket for when you're out and about - great for long car journeys or trips away.
It is very easy to use. Just place either two or four AA or AAA NiCd or NiMh batteries into the charger, set the switch to 2 or 4 depending on the number of batteries and connect to your power source of choice. Immediately the LED will illuminate red to show that charging is in process and when the light changes to green the batteries are charged. Because the charging time is automatic the charger can accept any capacity of AA or AAA batteries and both NiCd and NiMh without the need to set additional switches etc.
I would recommend this product to anyone looking for an easy-to-use charger with a set of high performance AA rechargeable batteries at a great price. Mine was delivered the very next morning after it was ordered!

I ordered this as my kids two Samsung digital cameras (bought from Amazon) were practically unusable on reular alakaline batteries - something that wasn't clear when I bought them. The high capacity batteries perform well, recharge quickly and are doing just the job. The charger seems robust, has good features and provided it lasts a while will prove a good buy. I chose this product as it doesn't overcharge the batteries, but stops when they are at capacity as I didn't want to waste energy or overheat the batteries. I am happy so far and would say it is certainly worth considering if you use a lot of AA batteries or need high capacity batteries for anythign like cameras.
