I bought these plates for a jubilee party I'm doing in my garden on the day. There's not many street parties around our way so I thought I throw one mainly for the kids as we all went to one in 77!
I've bought all jubilee/union jack themed party items for the day.
These plates are indeed 7 inches in diameter and have a very nice and colourful Union Jack on them and when they say paper plates. . .they ain't kidding! See pic uploads.
These thing have got more flop than Dick Fosbury if loaded with much more than a cheese butty! I did intend to hand them out for folk to put food on but I just cant. There's no way you're gonna get a slice of quiche, a few ribs, sausage rolls and a Chinese chicken drumstick on one of these without it all ending up all over your union jack trousers!
They're not what I expected but I must say, they were cheap so I got what I paid for I suppose (tightwad northerner you see!) I don't remember the paper plates being this flimsy back in 1977! You could use those as frisby's then, infact we probably did after the food was gone!
Ahh well. I'll definitely use them just to put sandwiches and other food on (on the table) as they'll be okay for presentation purposes.
Cheese butty anyone? :)
