5.0 out of 5 stars Great soundtrack collection 6 Feb 2013
By Chalky
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
I bought this for the Evanescence remix, but quite a lot of the other remixes are very good too, as are tunes recorded with guest singers and a producer. It's a shame a lot are not actually in the film, but they stand up alone as a good listen individually, and it works well as an album of heavy/dark rock musicians collected for a soundtrack theme.

The Renholder remixes are along the lines of Skrillex/Dubstep but don't sound like blatent rip-offs of that genre, instead they have been skillfully adapted into the chosen tune. I really like most of tunes on this album, and think they would appeal to people who like dark, modern rock, and the advances and application of big studio/synthetic sound production techniques.

Well worth a listen!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Another great Underworld soundtrack. 18 Jan 2012
By Jerry Hart - Published on Amazon.com
I've loved all the soundtracks in this series and this one doesn't disappoint. Lots of great, atmospheric songs that get me in the mood to watch the movie. My favorite soundtrack is still "Underworld: Evolution," though.

Edit: After listening to the album a few more times, I've decided to give it a 5 out of 5. The songs are so atmospheric I can't help but listen to them over and over. My favorite is "How'm I Supposed to Die" by Civil Twilight. Quite possibly the sexiest, most atmospheric song I've ever heard. It's set the tone for my entire year, just like "Evolution's" soundtrack did back in 2006. Too bad hardly any of these songs actually featured in the movie (I saw the film after listening to the album).

Great music to relive the movie by. Super track from Evanescence but different from the movie and their 2011 album. Nice to have all the versions, though.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Compilation of Musical Artists 23 April 2013

This album provides appropriate music for the type of movie it is based off of. If you love Depeche Mode, Evanescence, those types of bands then you will enjoy this collection.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent album 6 Jan 2013

Such a different, dark approach to making a collection and quite refreshing to see it done so well. Very good choices that work surprisingly well together to make an album that almost sounds like these bands got together with a common goal. Very well "curated" and probably the best out of the Underworld soundtracks, or even soundtracks in general.

Remixes of Evanescence, Linkin Park and The Cure were superbly done. The remix of Lacuna Coil is a bit odd in the first half, but I did like it in the end (get the original, it's way better). The exclusive songs from Civil Twilight, Combichrist, Collide and Black Light Burns are really amazing songs that I'm surprised aren't on their own albums. Combichrist's song is not typical of their style but still well-done. Geno Lenardo (of Filter and the upcoming DIVICE band with David Draiman) provides music for such singers as Lacey Sturm of Flyleaf, Stella Katsoudas and Ryan T. Hope and these are especially strong tracks. One of the best songs here is the closer "Exit Wounds", it's such a good song that I HAVE to track down these artists. & Sons was very good, though I can't find more but that doesn't mean this song isn't one of the highlights.

5.0 out of 5 stars great album I have been collecting these for all the movies. 12 Sep 2012

great movie soundtrack, but I find it odd they added songs to this soundtrack that where not in the movie, they seem to do a lot of this with these tracks. I find the best song on the album is evanescence. I would have just preferred that song. other then that its still a great album.
