5.0 out of 5 stars Great introduction to Underworld 15 April 2009
Format:Audio CD
This is a fantastic collection of Underworld tracks, and a great starting point for someone looking to get into the band. This was my introduction to them, and they're now my second favourite artist in the whole of my music collection! It contains most of the big tunes from their albums (not including their most recent, Oblivion With Bells) and also a selection of B-Sides and other rarities, such as the magnificent 'Eight Ball' and 'Spikee'.

It takes a while to "get" some of the older tracks like 'Mmm Skyscraper I Love You' and 'Dirty Epic' as they aren't as accessible as some of the more recent commercial releases, such as 'Two Months Off' and 'Born Slippy .NUXX', but once you get into the vibe of Underworld's sound you find that every track on these two CD's is a superb gem of electronic music. From the hypnotic sounds of 'Rez' to the calming warm fuzz of 'Eight Ball' and the pure acoustic assault that is 'Moaner', the track selection shows just how diverse the band's sound is.

They really are Gods at what they do, and this CD is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to what they have to offer. So immerse yourself in Underworld and discover the rest for yourselves!

I was surprised at the number of songs I had heard before but did not know were by Underworld. I enjoy this album and it was delivered swiftly.

Love it, takes me back to a time when my only worries were how to get home when the clubs kicked out at 6 am.
