I bought this for myself and have let other new mothers use it and they have all said the same that it is the best book they have read.
It is easy to read and fully informative it contains all the stuff that you actually want to know not what "experts" say you should no. What I also appreciated was it was patronizing, it doesn't make you feel like a bad mother if you don't breastfeed. If you are looking for a baby book to help you prepare then DO buy this!!!!

It is a whole scary unknown world for the new parent, and Maureen's book gives you the confidence to understand practically the newborn baby's signs and needs and neither preaches nor gives rigid rules but instead practical advice to understand.
Maureen Gannon's book offers a soft, clear and ultimately totally professional route to give such confidence on how to help and keep the baby safely through its early days to the new parent who can easily feel over-whelmed by the new life to protect. |
