Mind Maps are very powerful tools, which help you to organise information better by mapping key concepts and their relationships. Unfortunately this book does the technique a grave disservice. Full of padding, repetition, and pseudo science mumbo jumbo, the worthwhile parts of the book would fit on a couple of pages, or one mind map! The claim that readers will understand mind maps in a week I assume is two hours to read the book and the rest of the week to look for a better book! A better alternative is the single chapter 7 of Tony Buzan's "Use Your Head". In addition to this chapter there is plenty of well written concise information in the rest of the book. I got my copy of Understanding Mind Maps in a Week this morning and I have binned it this evening.
