I began using the heathcote book for the AQA syllabus and could not get the sufficient grades. Having been recommended to buy this book, from my teacher and friends, i used this book alongside the heathcote book and obtained an A grade for A level ict. The book is thorough, and gives you great analysis on the topics..

I have been using this book for the last 2 years in college, and am recently going to be resitting 2 ICT modules. In terms of the use of this book, I have obtained two grade D's (i.e. the ones I am resitting). For AS i used notes off the internet and achieved a C, and an A.

In comparitive terms to other subjects (Geog - A, and Business - A) I dont think it boils down to personal ability.

this book is very confusing, it misses some very important details off the AQA syllabus. It repeats the information several times throughout the book, mostly in the same paragraph (have found myself writing the same note on several occasions)and waffles terribly, instead of boiling down to what information is needed.

This book is an excellent volume for anyone teaching or studying the AQA GCSE A level course. It is closely related to the sylabus and is logically presented. The case studies, activities and tasks included in each chapter give students the chance to relate subject matter to real life examples and therefore consolidate learning opportunities.

My only criticism is that it is a little too 'green' and may have looked more attractive if more colour was included.
