Understanding Headaches and Migraines offers a realistic and informative insight into the causes and effects of headaches of all types. It is a useful tool for both sufferers of headaches and those who simply wish to learn more about them. While no book on this subject can cover the full extent of knowledge about headaches, this book gives a good overview of the most important information available. In particular the case studies used in it allow those readers who do suffer from the conditions to identify with symptoms, casues and effects as experienced by others.
The book is well researched and can be read by laymen and experts alike. There is a scientific and medical basis but it is written in plain english. The further links to other sources of information allow readers to continue study into this area at their own leisure and level.
As a sufferer myself I used to think I had a good range of knowledge but I have learnt a great deal more from Mark Forshaws book, much of which I am able to put to use when dealing with my own headaches and migraines. In general this is a useful and also very intersting book, well written and easy to read. A definite must buy!
