This book sets out a well thought, out pragmatic approach and explaination of many of the complex political, spiritual, astrological and ecological factors, which will shape our future. It is a wake up call to humankind. It is also a map and directions for those who wish to participate in an incredible journey. If you are familiar with Lyn Birkbeck's body of work, this is a continuation of his life's mission to make humanity aware of their participation in the creation of our future. We have a choice, so choose wisely.

As Lyn Birkbeck always seems to take astrology a step ahead of where most astrology is, it's no surprise that his Understanding The Future helps us all to deal with the uncertain times ahead in a way that belongs to the future itself. By seeing planetary influences that affect all of us and the Earth herself as waves of energy, he shows how we can ride or attune to them and change possibly negative outcomes into positive ones. He backs it all up by showing us what these planet-waves were doing in the past, and how we could have ridden them better if only we knew (what he is showing us now) and how each individual one of us can make a difference. Amazing, consciousness-raising, trailblazing stuff!!

Mr Birkbeck's book is a true revelation .He wrote this in 2007 and it is an incedibly well researched with references to past patterns of planetary alignments and the resultant evidence of what those influences manifested all plainly and clearly presented .
Given the fact that Barack Obama is just taking up the Presidential mantle of the USA ,this fits perfecley into the prediction in the guide where it states that in times of great need a figure will rise and fill the leadership role.
The current middle East debacle is a graphic example of the books predicted cosmic wave, however it does offer an altenative to the conflict that has been evidenced.
I recommend this book to everyone, put aside any negativity that you might have about planetary influences and become a contributing part to the collective cure !
