Product Description

Synopsis

This companion volume to Peterson's "Learning To See Creatively" explores the way photographers can maximize the exposure latitude of their pictures. The author covers aperture, shutter speed and film speed which together compose what he calls the "photographic triangle". His teaching method is based on the idea that the first step is to define creative objectives and then to decide how best to expose the image.

5.0 out of 5 stars A MOST EXCELLENT BOOK!!!!!!!!!, 22 Jun 1999
By A Customer
OUT OF ALL OF THE PHOTOGRAPHY BOOKS I HAVE READ, JOHN GARRET DOES AN EXCELLENT JOB IN THIS BOOK. THEIR IS NOT ONE DETAIL HE MISSES IN INFORMING THE READER OF HOW HE CREATED THE PHOTGRAPH. HE ELABORATLY GOES INTO DETAIL FROM THE LIGHTING ALL THE WAY TO THE DEVELOPING PROCESS.

I picked this up in a second hand bookshop, it was so good I bought a copy for a friend at the full price.

This is hands down one of the best photography books I have ever read.
