5.0 out of 5 stars Autism is no excuse to not excel anymore 3 Sept. 2014

I took an interest in the subject simply because my girlfriend was formerly a volunteer for our city’s autism care network. But of course the subject itself surprised me. At the core, you can find plenty of core information about autism here, including behavioural patterns and other typical stuff to expect from autistic children and adults alike. Then, the further chapters branch off into athletic performance for autistic children and adults. That is quite a surprise - especially when you know a bit of the background behind autism. Great work overall

5.0 out of 5 stars Sport - Even For Autistic Kids 27 Aug. 2014

This was of great help in understanding our friends' child. He's autistic and unless you read a book like this, you don't really understand what it means. Sport can do wonders - even for autistic children - and this book does a great job at explaining how to introduce these kids at various activities.
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent resource! 16 Nov. 2014

An excellent book that will guide you in dealing with and understanding autism. It started by giving a quick overview on the facts, causes and some symptoms commonly found in children with autism. It highlights that the characteristics of a child with autism naturally appear earlier than the child reaching the age of three and last all the way through life, so it essential to look out for warning signs that a child may be autistic. This book will also show you how to find an activity that is perfectly suitable to your child and how to encourage him in sports and identify which sport he can excel and then help him get the best out of his abilities in sports. This book is perfect for everyone, not just for parents with autistic kid, the information presented here is so valuable.

5.0 out of 5 stars Understanding Autism in the Field 15 Aug. 2014
By J. Stevens - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is a very good book written about autism in children. Early diagnosis and treatment can prevent autism completely, and the child can
live a normal life. It is crucial parents understand the facts and symptoms of autism. A lot of children with autism have intelligence level below normal. This in turn leads to other environmental issues, such as depression. Highly recommend this book.
