Within a week of owning this book the information in it earned me over one hundred pounds and saved me twice as much on a couple of fakes.
It is difficult to find such a concentrated source of information elsewhere and over one hundred and twenty plates plus more line drawings where no example could be shown are enough to provide you with most of the information you are likely to need.
There is a price guide towards the back of the book which might seem a complete irrelevance but knowing that an undated seal of a saracens head is worth eight Magdalene College sealed bottles helps in pro rata calculations. This is followed by a list of prices realised at auction by damged pieces; normally with glass and china this is heresy but as some of the pieces could be extremely scarce or even unique I consider the list to be valid..
The chapter on fakes and restorations should be learned by heart by anybody serious about wine bottles, and from my direct experience I cant recommend this book highly enough.
