Breakthrough 24 Nov 2011
By Steven A. Ross - Published on Amazon.com
I am wondering what the reviewer, slim... was reading. His comments never refer to the materials contained within this book. I am a former athlete that competed at National levels in Track and Field and was a small college All-American.

We were always under the assumption that to increase one's strength that heavier and heavier weights was required. In other words we were adding bulk and extra pounds to our body. Now comes the author's work showing one can double their strength without putting on weight. I did not see this mentioned in the reviewer's note. This is a very important aspect and this book goes against the established grain. Perhaps this was bothering the reviewer. I am familiar with the book as well as enjoyed watching Felix compete in the olympics. The author was working with this athelete in high school.

Anything that is different seems to fight through so much of the 'old established way'. But when you have examples of something that works...that is the test of the pudding.

If I had this when I competed in the 1960s I know exactly how much I would have improved my performance. Now it is too late for me...but not for you.

Overpriced 16 May 2011

This really should be called a pamphlet rather than a book. Although it contains some good information, it is much too brief and general to justify the price tag.

I will contrast this pamphlet with "The Purposeful Primitive", a real book I purchased at the same time. For a few dollars more, that book is very thorough, well written and contains very specific information that can implemented immediately.

I got BURNED when I bought "Underground Secrets to Running Faster". In hindsight, the term "underground" should have been a tip-off that it was shaky.
