Format:Audio CD
Five stars for value for money and for the MOS releasing such a bargain in these inflationary times but for also including at least three sublime tracks namely Toby Tobias/Macasu (MCDE Remix, Hercules and Love Affair/Blind (Frankie Knucles Remix) and finally DJ Nature/Destiny reprise.
Macasu channels Dionne Warwick, Donna Summer's Love2LoveuBaby and Jackie Moore's this time baby to magnificant effect. Hercules/Frankie mix-disco heaven-the old Magician shows the whippersnappers how to Housekeep with style and substance. Finally, DJ Nature, what a concoction James Brown meets Prince meets Cee Lo.
I have spent the last 35 years lost in music and the ghosts of disco past ironically loom large over these 2 discs. Influences range from the SOS band, Alexander O'Neil, Disco Tex and the Sex-O-Lettes even Level 42 bless. For further reference listen to Cut Chemist's Disco is dead on Mixcloud and it will make you green with envy if you did not experience the heady days of 70's disco.
