Format: Paperback
A nice little book that concentrates on the trams and trolleybuses that operated in north London until 1962.

Incidentally, the Tally Ho was a pub in Holloway and nearby was what we would probably call today a 'transport hub'. A well-researched account, with plenty of historical black and white photographs (the only colour views are on the cover). I found the oral histories from the tram motormen particularly fascinating.

I would have given this book five stars had the publisher chosen a higher quality paper for reproduction. Nevertheless this 128 softback has my recommendation.

Whilst the text of this book was very good,I expected it to be illustrated and was very disappointed to find it was not,and this, from a relatively expensive e-book!
Reading the forward, I thought that it was to be illustrated with lavish period photos!
It wasn't !

An interesting read but let down by the poor quality of reproduction of the images, of which the choice was very good. Reasonable value when purchased at a discount!
